Joe Woodard received a B.A. in philosophy from Ave Maria University in 2010, and then moved to Shanghai to teach English. In 2012, he moved to Hong Kong, and in 2016 started Hong Kong’s first 40 Days for Life campaign, as well as the Annual Hong Kong March for Life. He now runs Asia for Life, with a vision to provide resources, education, and encouragement to the pro-life network in Hong Kong and East Asia. In addition to pro-life ministry, he is also supporting anti-human-trafficking efforts in Hong Kong.
Despite health problems, he has survived Hong Kong’s subtropical climate and plans to remain in Asia for the rest of his life. In 2017, he married Serah Lee, a Hong Kong social worker who is the tenth child in her family, and also an abortion survivor. They attend church at a local Cantonese-speaking church in Sheung Shui, beside the border with Mainland China.
